The BRIT-Award winner has officially touched down in ready to take a shot at becoming king of the jungle.
But wasn’t the only programme the star has been approached for.
Aitch revealed that back in 2019, TV bosses had asked him to appear on reality dating show .
Previously speaking on Breakfast radio, he revealed: “I got asked to go on Love Island. No word of a lie.”
The star would have appeared alongside the likes of and but admitted he “didn’t have the body”.
He continued: “Obviously it would have been funny, I did think about it. It was a ‘no’ straight away, but it would have been very funny.”
Aitch, real name Harrison Armstrong, hails from New Moston, , and launched his hit career aged 15.
In 2023 he won the British Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act gong at The Brits.
Aitch has had nine Top Ten hits and worked with the likes of and .
Speaking about the rapper’s latest venture, a TV insider said: “Aitch has a massive following among and 20-somethings and bosses will be hoping he’ll bring a new generation of fans.
“He’ll make for great viewing as he has a plethora of stories from his time in the music industry.
“He’s also known for having a sharp wit which will keep his campmates and viewers entertained.
“Producers want a broad appeal for audiences at home, and he forms part of the bid to have celebrities of all ages taking part.”
The rap star has since arrived in Australia and the jungle newbie has revealed what he’ll miss most while in camp.

- Tom Read Wilson – The Celebs Go Dating favourite is set to round out the line-up of stars heading down under.
Wearing a black Adidas tracksuit, he joked he was down under because he has an upcoming tour on the other side of the world.
, Aitch seemingly hinted how he would be great at Bush Tucker Trials involving snakes.
“I don’t mind snakes… snake on toast? It’s all right that, innit?”
He then revealed what he would miss most while in the camp, saying: “I’m gonna miss my sister – even though she’s a little s***.”
