RISING star Aimee Lou Wood is being lined up to play George Harrison’s first wife in the upcoming Beatles biopics.

George and Pattie wed in 1966. She inspired ’ hit Something â and later became embroiled in a love triangle with guitar great Eric Clapton, who wrote his hit Layla about her.

After Pattie’s 1979 marriage to Clapton, George went on to say he had given them his blessing and even joked he was Eric’s “husband-in-law”;.
They divorced in 1989 due to Eric’s alcoholism and affairs. George died in 2001 aged 58.
