Super Eagles striker, Akor Adams, has shared his thoughts on playing alongside teammate Victor Osimhen in Eric Chelle’s squad during the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Morocco.

The Sevilla star emphasized that he has made efforts to adapt his style of play while partnering with Osimhen in the Super Eagles' attack during the AFCON.

Adams made his debut for Nigeria in their 2-1 win against Lesotho last October.

The 25-year-old has established himself as a key player in Chelle’s lineup, starting five of Nigeria’s seven matches, all alongside Osimhen, and netting two goals.

“It is the same for me. I am accustomed to playing in that manner [with Osimhen],” Adams told Pooja Media when discussing his collaboration with Osimhen in the Super Eagles roster.

“I have played in a similar setup at the club level, in a two-striker partnership. I believe it’s about understanding the coach’s expectations since every match presents unique challenges.

“I strive to adapt. We are professionals, so we cannot be limited to just one approach to the game; it’s quite normal.”
