Nigeria’s Super Eagles will look to set more records when they take on hosts Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Rabat on Wednesday, DAILY POST reports.

Eric Chelle’s men have so far scored 14 goals in Morocco, making them the highest scoring Nigerian side in the competition.

The record (12) was previously held by the 2,000 AFCON team, which featured legends such as Austin Okocha, Sunday Oliseh, Nwankwo Kanu, and Mutiu Adepoju.

The Super Eagles also became the first team to score two or more goals in at least five games at the AFCON following their quarter-final victory over the Desert Foxes of Algeria.

They will also be looking to win five straight games at the AFCON for the first time.
