But their 3pm kick-off time has been pushed back after Bradford’s coach arrived late to Plough Lane.

The home side confirmed the news in a statement, saying: “AFC Wimbledon v Bradford City has been delayed, as the Bradford team coach is delayed en route to the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

“The game will still take place, with a kick-off time being confirmed in due course.

“Team news has also been delayed and will be announced accordingly.”

The Bantams released their own statement on social media, insisting traffic was to blame for their late arrival.

They said: “Kick-off for this afternoon’s Sky Bet League One encounter against AFC Wimbledon at the Cherry Red Records Stadium has been delayed due to traffic delaying City’s first-team coach’s arrival at the ground.

“The fixture will still be taking place, with a new kick-off time being communicated to supporters in due course.
