The lawmakers of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have confirmed the appointment of administrators for 45 development areas (DA).

The development areas are units of government created and funded by the state government, similar in function to local government areas under the federal arrangement.

The administrators confirmed by the House of Assembly, presided over on Wednesday by the Speaker, Bathiya Wesley, include Malena Manasseh for Borrong; Joshua Magani for Bidomi in Demsa LGA; Ibrahim Fidelis for Fali; and Amina Betso for Betso/Mayo Bani in Mubi North LGA.

Others include Audacity Buba for Belel;/, Emmanuel Lawan for Pakka/Vokna, Haruna Hassan for Mbilla in Maiha LGA; Linus Desmond for Nasarawo Jerreng, Elisabeth Alkali for Tola, and Joshua Badamasi for Ndikkong in Mayo Belwa LGA.

Stratus Samaila was approved as the administrator for Michika North, Nuhu Garba for Michika West, and Bitrus Dami for Michika South in Michika LGA; Muhammed Kalawa for Mubi East, Abdulwahab Musa for Mubi West in Mubi South LGA, as well as Moses Tatula for Vulpu and Benedict Barau for Imbru/Barre.

For the Kiri Development Area in Shelleng LGA, Monday Solomon was approved; while for the three DAs in Song LGA, Aliyu Awulekyau was approved for Dumne, Charles Adamu for Mboi, and Abubakar Dahiru for Zumo.

Administrators were approved for the four DAs in Fufore LGA: Abdullazeez Baba for Gurin, Mahmud Mamman for Malabu, Abubakar Alim for Daware, and Amoris Haziel for Yadim.

Other development areas for which approvals were granted by the Adamawa State House of Assembly include: Gangdu – Aisha Musa; Ganye East – Nasiru Adamu (Ganye LGA); Vunoklang – Sylvester Gashon; Jera Bakari – Tijjani Chubabo (Girei LGA); Lala – Grace Hiram Boga; Garkida – Steven Mshelia (Gombi LGA); Kulinyi – Abalis Barminas; Uba/Hildi – Mahmud Jerengol; and Gaya/Garaha – Rabiu Musa (Hong LGA).

In Jada LGA, Usman Abubakar was approved for Kojoli, Zubairu Hammanyaji for Mbulo, and James Irmiya for Koma Vomni.
In Lamurde LGA, Tilon Kiribus was approved for Gyawana, and Relestha Gashuka for Waduku/Suwa.
In Madagali LGA, Emmanuel Gamache was appointed for Madagali North, and Ana P for Madagali South.

The others include Haziel Godwin, Toungo South and Ahmed Jauro,Toungo East (both in Toungo LGA); and Abdullahi Abdu Modi for Yola Central and Maxwell Agabus for Yola West.
