Toxic Adam Ramsay-Peaty feud deepens with new whispers about ousted Bethany – as pals say ‘family can’t forgive’ her

IT should be the happiest time of their lives – not one, but three members of the Peaty family are expecting babies.

But eight months on from Adam’s to , insiders tell us the is more toxic than ever before – and the newlyweds have never been more alone.

And we can reveal at the centre of the ongoing drama is carer Bethany, 32, who is no longer speaking to the Olympian or her extended family despite being the only member who was actually invited to the star-studded nuptials in December last year.

The latest bitter twist was sparked when Bethany announced she was pregnant just weeks after Holly, the 26-year-old daughter of chef , revealed she was expecting.

The women, who had grown close, are due within three weeks of each other but rather than bring them closer, it’s driven them further apart.

A source close to the family explained: “Beth wanted her pregnancy to be known about too but Holly didn’t want her stealing her limelight which is fair enough as Holly is a first-time mum.

“Bethany has always got on so well with Adam and Holly, so she really wasn’t expecting to get cut off by them.

“She thinks her brother’s behaviour towards her is because she’s made up with their mum Caroline but he hasn’t.

“But the rest of us think Bethany actually played a part in the breakdown in the relationship between Caroline, Adam and Holly.”

It’s claimed that Bethany sent a WhatsApp message to Adam, who now goes by , telling him that she’s set to give birth to a baby girl, just like Holly, . Sources now claim she feels ‘used’ by her brother.

Holly and Adam’s little one will be the swimmer’s second child, after previously welcoming a son with his ex-partner, Eirianedd Munro.

The family rift runs much deeper though, with the insider telling us that Bethany turned her back on their other brother James and his wife Charlotte – who are co-incidentally also expecting a new baby.

They said: “She was very quick to drop her ‘sister’ Charlotte when Holly came along because Holly gave her things she wouldn’t usually get.

“It’s caused a lot of upset and the divide in the family has never been more obvious.

“Her mum may have forgiven her but other family members never will.

“They can’t understand why she is now portraying herself as the victim.”

But we’re told that since Adam stopped talking to her, Bethany is “desperately” trying to make things up with Charlotte again.

They said: “It’s all very sad. Charlotte is now very wary of Beth and her intentions so she isn’t exactly being welcomed back with open arms.

“At the end of the day this is sibling jealousy, which has resulted in a family being torn apart.

“At this rate the kids will all end up growing up without their cousins around them. It’s isolating for Bethany, but also Adam and Holly.”

James and his wife Charlotte are parents to Oliver, 11, and seven-year-old Jacob – but also lost a baby boy in 2024 when Charlotte was 23 weeks’ pregnant.

It’s claimed that their child is due in two months, but the pregnancy is ‘tainted’ by the ongoing family rift.

When Adam and Holly’s daughter arrives in December, it will mark two years since the feud first erupted.

It’s been an eye opening and very emotional time for Adam, not only are relations incredibly tricky with his family, but the pool star is instead — after his plans for a triumphant return were left in tatters last month.

The triple Olympic champion won 16 golds in Europe between 2014 and 2020. But the latest contest saw him suffer , finishing fifth in the 100m breaststroke and 20th in the 50m — despite him holding the world record for both events.

Speaking after the races at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July, a sobbing Adam wiped away tears as he told the press: “I think it’s hard, as I know how hard I work and I know the s*** I’ve been through.

“Which is no fault of my own to be honest but it does take a toll you know, and I think the choices I made over the last few months have been hard ones.

“But I’m happy at the same time that I could get here and I didn’t quit in Paris but I deserve more.”

Speaking in August about a possible reconciliation, Adam was clear there were conditions if they were ever to sort things out.

He said: “For me, as a Christian, there has to be forgiveness.

“It doesn’t mean you have to forget, but forgiveness takes time.

“I’m not saying that it won’t get better but it has to come from a place where I feel like they’ve improved as people, in a sense, and opened that communication up.”

Hopefully the arrival of the babies – and maybe a miracle – will be just what the family need.
