Devastated Caroline had been determined to attend the extravagant ceremony in Bath tomorrow despite being excluded.
However, the swimming star’s mother has reconsidered, with a family member informing The Sun: “She will not be there because it would be too sorrowful, and she doesn’t want to spoil his special day.”
This change of heart comes as Holly Ramsay and her family were seen departing their £7.5m mansion to head to the wedding venue.
Father of one Adam, 30, and Holly, 25, are set to marry at Bath Abbey on Saturday, December 27.
Caroline had previously insisted: “I will be there, and I will watch from the street.”
However, she changed her mind after her supportive husband Mark helped her understand that it would be “too upsetting” to attend.
Approximately 200 guests are expected at Adam’s wedding, including Holly’s chef father Gordon and their close friends David and Victoria Beckham.
But there will be no unexpected guests.
Sources indicate that the couple has arranged for tourists to be prevented from entering the venue.
A security team is also scheduled to monitor the area to deter anyone attempting to take pictures of the couple.
