"Tragic Shooting: 6 Injured, Including 2 Officers, in Active Incident at Apartment Complex"

SEVERAL people have reportedly been killed and two police officers injured as a mass shooter opened fire at a block of flats.

At least six people were injured and several civilians were killed, KSTP news reported.

Cops rushed to control the active shooter situation in Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon.

KSTP reported that one officer had been shot in the stomach and the other shot in the leg at the shooting near 15 East Grant Street.

A law enforcement source told the network that several civilians had been killed in the attack.

Minnesota Govorner Tim Walz said state officials are on the ground at the scene of the shooting.

He added: “Grateful to law enforcement actively working to ensure the safety of our neighbors in Downtown Minneapolis this afternoon.

“Minnesota is praying for our first responders.”

People have been asked to avoid the area from 12th Street to Franklin Avenue and Hennepin Avenue to Third Avenue South, with the Hyatt Regency hotel on lockdown.
