Chantel Alleyne, who formed Fierce along with Aisha Peters and Sabrina Weathers, has caught the attention of keen fans of Deal Or No Deal.
The band rose to fame with their debut album "Right Here, Right Now" and released four singles, including "Dayz Like That" and "So Long."
"Sweet Love 2K" peaked at number three on the UK charts in 2000, marking the band's final release.
Despite her past chart success, Chantel, who now works as an office manager for a technology firm, has stepped away from singing in favor of the revamped quiz series.
She looked fashionable as she took her place in the hot seat, donning a crisp white blazer, jeans, and sneakers while styling her hair into a chic up-do.
She completed her look with a delicate baby pink manicure.
The singer opened up about her music career after arriving at the player’s chair with her box, number 15, and a pack of tissues.
Stephen remarked: “For those who don’t know, you’ve been on television before – please tell everyone what you used to do!”
Chantel responded: “I was part of a girl group called Fierce. Yes.”
He then jokingly added: “I remember Fierce – and you were indeed fierce!” to which she agreed: “We were!”
A nostalgic photo of the trio on the set of "Top Of The Pops" then appeared on the screen.
Chantel reminisced: “It was incredible.
“One of the largest audiences we performed for was at Party In The Park, with over 120,000 attendees.
“Having 120,000 people sing back to you and clap along was overwhelming; I came off stage in tears.
“It was such an emotional experience.
“I was doing things that many people dream of but never get the chance to experience.”
She also revealed that they opened for Whitney Houston during her tour.
DONE DEAL?
Chantel’s father, who was born in Barbados, was present in the audience to cheer her on.
Unfortunately, she faced a challenging and emotional game but still left with £1,050.
Fans quickly took to X to share their thoughts, with one commenting: “I hope she’s fierce with the banker.”
Another wrote: “Chantel was in a girl band called Fierce. That amount certainly was.”
A third observer noted: “Stephen was aware of Fierce, as he mentioned it.
“He wouldn’t have known unless she had provided her full name and other details.”
