The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, located in Wudil, Kano State, has expelled 34 students and suspended an additional 13 for one academic session due to examination misconduct.
This action was taken following the approval of the report presented by the Examinations Regulations and Irregularities Committee during the university senate's 123rd meeting, which took place on October 9, 2025.
Abdullahi Datti, the university’s Head of Information, Publications, and Public Relations Unit, announced this in a statement released on Friday.
He stated, “The disciplinary actions were implemented after thorough consideration of the committee’s report, which examined instances of examination misconduct. The Senate has sanctioned the expulsion of 34 students and the suspension of 13 others for one academic session, while several students received warning letters.”
Datti further emphasized that the university is dedicated to maintaining academic integrity and discipline among its students.
“The management would like to remind all students that examination malpractice and any form of academic dishonesty will not be tolerated,” he added.
