"2027: Aisha Yesufu Calls for Treating Election Rigging as Terrorism"

A political activist, Alisha Yesufu, has expressed her support for the imposition of capital punishment on individuals involved in election rigging.

The co-founder of the BringBackOurGirls campaign made this statement in a post on her verified X account on Friday.

This remark follows Governor Alex Otti of Abia State's recommendation for severe penalties against those engaging in electoral malpractice in the country.

“You see that statement attributed to Alex Otti, saying ‘anyone planning to rig an election should first write their will,’ is the mindset that Nigerians should adopt!

“I have consistently maintained that anyone who rigs an election should be treated as a terrorist,” Yesufu declared.
