President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has warned former Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi against agreeing to a joint ticket with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in 2027.

Onanuga warned that Obi will not get the kind of blind followership he got in 2023 if he runs with Atiku in 2027.

He noted that despite their permutations, Tinubu will remain in power in 2027.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Thursday, the presidential aide said Tinubu’s achievements will speak for him in 2027.

He said: “If Peter Obi allies with Atiku in 2027, he will not get the blind followership he received in 2023; it will not happen because he wants to be president and they want him to be Vice President.

“That is why when I look at it, they are just trying their luck, trying all kinds of permutations but the APC will still be in power in 2027.

“President Tinubu’s achievements in office will speak for him.”;

Obi, Atiku, and some imminent Nigerians are currently part of the opposition coalition that adopted the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Currently, both Obi and Atiku have hinted at running for the presidency in 2027.
