Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and his Oyo State counterpart, Seyi Makinde are currently meeting with Senator Seriake Dickson in Bauchi.
Although the reason for the meeting was not immediately ascertained, it may not be unconnected to preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
DAILY POST reports that Bala Mohammed and Makinde, who are the only remaining governors in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP are reportedly planning their resignation from the party.
Their decisions, according to reports were birthed by the protracted leadership crisis rocking the opposition party.
Senator Seriake Dickson, the lawmaker representing the Bayelsa West Senatorial District recently launched a new party, Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
