The All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has said that the party is mobilising Nigerians from across the federation to vote for its candidates in the coming 2027 general election.

He said this on Friday in Abuja after inaugurating members of the party’s National Campaign Council for 2026 Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Area Councils Election.

Yilwatda, while expressing confidence that the APC would win the coming elections, said it was not leaving any stone unturned in its mobilisation strategy.

“We are mobilising more than any other political party in Nigeria, and we are confident we will win the election,” he said.

He said the party was mobilising Nigerians across tribes at the grassroots, using its governors.

The APC national chairman explained that the party’s governors from the six geo-political zones had been reaching out to the people in their own way, noting the governors had dispatched agents and leaders to different communities to mobilise Nigerians from different tribes.

Yilwatda, while commending members of the campaign council for accepting the responsibility to serve, described their appointment as a demonstration of trust and confidence in their loyalty to the party.

“This party is your home, we must open the space for inclusive participation and provide leadership that attracts Nigerians from every corner,” he said.

He charged them to mobilise Nigerians and ensure total victory for the party at all levels.

He described the FCT council election as a strategic political contest that required unity, coordination and effective grassroots mobilisation across the six area councils.

Yilwatda said the influx of members of other political parties into the APC was a clear sign of its growing national acceptance and the confidence Nigerians now had in it.

He said the forthcoming Area Council election presented an opportunity for the APC to reclaim lost ground and consolidate the party’s dominance in the FCT.

He said the campaign council would focus on aggressive mobilisation of voters and deployment of well articulated strategies to secure victory on the election day.

Yilwatda explained that the composition of the council reflected Nigeria’s geo-political diversity because the FCT was home to residents from all parts of the country.

“The FCT belongs to all Nigerians, if we execute our strategies effectively and work as one united party, victory is assured,” the APC national chairman said.

He expressed optimism that with commitment from party leaders and supporters, the APC would emerge victorious in the forthcoming Area Council election.

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara and Chairman of the Campaign Council, in his remark, pledged to deliver victory for the party.

He thanked the APC leadership, especially Yilwatda, for the confidence reposed in the council’s members, assuring that they would mobilise voters and strengthen grassroots structures to secure success in the election.
