Published on June 16, 2025 at 02:51 PM

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, over the weekend distanced himself from any political coalition being muted by politicians ahead of 2027 general elections.

Senator Moro was addressing his constituents on Saturday during an interactive meeting/constituency briefing held in Otukpo to present his six-year scorecard to the public.

Senator Moro who reeled out his achievements amidst cheers said he was not in any political coalition or a member of any coalition with anybody or group. He said he would only join a coalition that’s driven by his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and not that propagated by individuals or group.

“Let me state here unequivocally that I am not in any political coalition and I’m not a member of any political coalition with anyone or group. Those who are in political coalition are there for their reasons.

“In the recent past, I addressed the press on behalf of and with my colleague PDP Senators where we clearly stated that we were not in the political coalition being propagated by individuals.

“We stated that when necessary we could only hatchet any political coalition that is driven by the Peoples Democratic Party, being the largest of all other political parties not in power, not individuals. This position has not changed,”; he stated.
