The caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has pledged to follow Governor Ademola Adeleke in any political direction.
This resolution was reached during a meeting of the party’s stakeholders held on Saturday at the Government House Banquet Hall, Osogbo.
The gathering included representatives from all arms of the party and government.
A communiqué issued at the end of the meeting stated, “The PDP state leadership resolved to follow Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke wherever he goes.”;
The caucus, while acknowledging ongoing consultations by the Governor, affirmed its unwavering support for his leadership, passing a vote of confidence in him.
“The leaders, who praised the Governor’s leadership and performance in office, mandated him to continue consultations with all stakeholders locally and nationally,”; the communiqué added.
Those in attendance included the Governor himself, Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi, Senate Deputy Minority Leader Senator Lere Oyewumi, and several members of the National and State Assemblies.
Also present were Bamidele Salam, Clement Olohunwa, Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro, High Chief (Mrs) Modupeola Adeleke, and PDP South-West Vice Chairman, Engr. Kamorudeen Ajisafe.
Others included Osun PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, Speaker of the House, Adewale Egbedun, Deputy Speaker, Ireyode Oyewusi, and Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye.
Further attendees were Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinleye, former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Senator Oluwole Alabi, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, Fatai Akinbade, Lasun Yusuf, and Gani Olaoluwa.
Rev Bunmi Jenyo, ALGON State Chairman, Sarafadeen Awotunde, Special Adviser on Politics, Muniru Raji, SUBEB Chairman, Ibukun Fadipe, and State PDP Secretary, Bola Ajao were also present.
The meeting, according to the communiqué, featured a briefing from Governor Adeleke, and unified expressions of loyalty by the party leaders.
