2025 U-20 W/Cup: Norway will be ready for Flying Eagles test – Johansen

Published on May 31, 2025 at 02:26 PM

Norway U-20 head coach, Bjorn Johansen has reacted to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup draw, DAILY POST reports.

The Norwegians are pitched in Group F with two-time finalists Nigeria, Colombia and Saudi Arabia.

Johansen said facing the Flying Eagles will provide his team with an opportunity to test their might against a new team.

He also recognised the physical prowess of Aliyu Zubairu’s side.

“We had hoped to avoid certain teams, but now we have the opportunity to test ourselves against opponents we haven’t faced often—especially Nigeria, who bring a lot of power and strength,”; Johansen said after the draw.

The competition will be hosted by Chile from 27 September to 19 October 2025.
