Zamfara vigilantes eliminate bandit leaders, Jijji Ɗan Auta, Sagili

Two of Zamfara’s most feared bandit leaders, Jijji ÆŠan Auta and Sagili, have been killed by vigilante operatives in Maikwanugga, a community in Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

The development, was revealed in a post by security analyst Bakatsine on Wednesday via his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

According to the post, the notorious gang leaders met their end in a confrontation with local vigilante members, who have recently stepped up efforts to push back against banditry in rural parts of the state.

“Notorious bandit leaders Jijji ÆŠan Auta and Sagili have been killed in Maikwanugga today by vigilantes.
Maikwanugga is a community in Mafara LGA, Zamfara State,”; Bakatsine wrote

Jijji ÆŠan Auta and Sagili had been linked to a series of violent attacks, kidnappings, and extortion across Zamfara and neighbouring areas.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
