The United States, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has issued a stern warning to Iran stating that the country will pay the consequences of its “LETHAL”; support of the Houthis terrorist organization.
Hegseth gave the warning on Wednesday night via a post on his official X handle.
He wrote, “Message to IRAN: We see your LETHAL support to The Houthis. We know exactly what you are doing.
“You know very well what the US Military is capable of — and you were warned. You will pay the CONSEQUENCE at the time and place of our choosing.”;
DAILY POST reports that the US and Iran have held at least three rounds of indirect talks on the latter’s nuclear program.
The talks, which were initiated to ensure that Tehran is blocked from acquiring a nuclear weapon was mediated by Gulf state Oman.
The two sides are expected to reconvene in Rome on Saturday May 3rd.
