Spoilers
In the previous episode, Gang Cheol and Yeo Ri clashed with the Eight Feet Tall spirit, only to be overwhelmed by its unexpectedly immense power. Banished from the capital by King Yi Jeong (Kim Ji Hun), who forbade all shamanic rites, Gang Cheol and Yeo Ri set off for Naebulsan Mountain in search of ritual tools belonging to the shamaness Neob Deok (Gil Hae Yeon).
In the newly released stills, Gang Cheol stands in the royal library, gripping the crescent-shaped woldo (Korean polearm) with steely determination, his deep purple robes billowing around him. His presence in the king’s archives hints at his return to the palace. In front of a massive wall of talismans, Gang Cheol holds the massive woldo with ease, his charisma heightening the tension in the scene.
Surrounded by an ethereal teal glow and divine energy radiating from the woldo’s curved edge, Gang Cheol fully embodies the ancient power of the thousand-year-old Imugi. His awakened, almost superhero-like transformation raises anticipation for his fated rematch with the terrifying spirit.
