“YADANG: The Snitch”; has officially drawn over 1 million moviegoers!
According to the Korean Film Council, the film surpassed the 1 million viewer mark at 2:07 p.m. KST on April 23, its eighth day of release.
Since its premiere on April 16,“YADANG: The Snitch”;has dominated the Korean box office, holding the No. 1 spot for seven consecutive days.
“YADANG: The Snitch”; is a crime action film that follows an informant who supplies inside information on South Korea’s drug trade, a prosecutor eager to rise through the ranks, and a detective willing to risk everything to bring down drug-related crime. As their goals collide, a high-stakes showdown unfolds.
Led by standout performances from Kang Ha Neul , Yoo Hae Jin , Park Hae Joon , Ryu Kyung Soo , and Chae Won Bin , the film has earned acclaim for both its gritty realism and its biting social commentary-earning the nickname of a drug-world version of “ Inside Men .”;
The momentum isn’t slowing down anytime soon. On April 22-the start of its second week in theaters-the film attracted 91,360 moviegoers, outpacing even its opening day total of 85,705. This strong word-of-mouth buzz continues to fuel its growing popularity.
With advance ticket sales once again topping the charts and stage greetings set for this weekend in Seoul,“YADANG: The Snitch”;shows no signs of letting up. All eyes are now on its next milestone.
