AN X FACTOR finalist has been charged with attempted murder after a car allegedly ploughed into a crowd – leaving a woman fighting for her life.

Gabrielle Carrington, 29, was arrested after the horror unfolded near the London Palladium in Soho, Central London, at around 4.30am on Sunday.

Carrington of Broadfield Road, Manchester, has also been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm and drink driving.

She will remain in custody until her first appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Carrington, best known as Instagram and TikTok influencer RIELLEUK, has 362,000 followers online.

She appeared on The X Factor in 2013 and was a finalist with girl group Miss Dynamix.

Emergency crews, including police and paramedics, were scrambled to Argyll Street following reports of a car colliding with pedestrians.

A woman, aged in her 30s was rushed to hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

Cops confirmed a man in his 50s suffered life-changing injuries and another woman, aged in her 30s, was also treated for minor injuries.

Shocking footage of the crash quickly circulated on social media.

It appears to show the driver getting into the car before it surges forward and knocks a woman to the ground.

Passers-by then rush to help the victim, who was seemingly hit by the car and momentarily trapped underneath it.

A man who appears to be locking an e-bike is also struck by the car and falls to the ground.

Argyll Street is next to Oxford Street and home to the London Palladium and many of the capital’s popular nightlife spots.

The confirmed they are not treating the alleged attack as terror related.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, of Specialist South, has urged anyone with information to come forward.

She said: “As our enquiries continue, our thoughts are with those injured and their loved ones.

“While this incident took place in the early hours of the morning, venues in the area were still open, and we believe a number of people will have seen what happened.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or any activity prior to it that they feel may be of relevance, to come forward.

“The information you have – however minor you believe it may be – could be of crucial importance to investigators.”
