Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has hailed France striker, Olivier Giroud, for the career he has carved out for himself.
According to Wenger, we must kneel before Giroud’s career because the AC Milan star is worthy of plaudits, especially given he did not start from the top.
Giroud recently equalled Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry’s France’s all-time top goal scorer record of 51 goals.
The former Chelsea attacker scored a brace as France came from behind to beat Australia 4-1 in a World Cup tie in Qatar.
“We must kneel before the career that he has had,” Wenger told French TV channel TF1.
“Absolutely nothing was given to him,” he added.
