Former Chelsea player, Jason Cundy, has predicted the outcome of Sunday’s World Cup round of 16 tie between England and Senegal this weekend.
England and Senegal will clash in the World Cup last-16 on Sunday.
Gareth Southgate’s side head to the game after beating Wales in their final group tie, while Senegal defeated Ecuador.
Providing his prediction, Cundy tipped the Three Lions to beat the African champions 2-1.
“Senegal are good, they are not brilliant, but they are good,” Cundy told Grosvenor Sport.
“England will have to be at their very, very best to beat them and I think they’ll be. England will have too much for them.
“Senegal have not got Sadio Mane, imagine if he was playing. They might even have topped their group if he was.
“I am going for a 2-1 win for England. It is going to be tight, but England will have too much. But I am not underestimating Senegal at all.
“Quality-wise England are better than them, but Senegal have physical players – quick, strong and with good quality – so it will be tight.”
