But one player who definitely won’t be traveling to Qatar is Chelsea full-back Reece James.

Southgate rang James and informed him that he couldn’t afford to take the gamble on his fitness.

Gabriel Magalhaes did not make the cut for Brazil, with the likes of Bremer, Thiago Silva and Dani Alves in the squad.

Gabriel’s Arsenal teammate Gabriel Martinelli, however, did make the cut and will feature for the Brazilians in Qatar.
