World Cup 2022: Croatia win third place play-off after beating Morocco in Qatar

Croatia on Saturday evening defeated Morocco 2-1 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup third place play-off fixture at the Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar.

Josko Gvardiol opened the scoring for Croatia in the seven minutes before Achraf Dari equalized for the Atlas Lions.

However, Mislav Orsic then scored for Croatia to extend their lead before half-time.

At the resumption of the second half, both teams failed to score, as the match eventually ended in favour of Croatia.

Meanwhile, France will face Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday evening.
