A WICKED worker spiked tourists’ food with bleach in a sickening act of revenge after she was sacked.

After learning the Benalmadena resort wouldn’t renew her waitress contract, the woman hatched the vengeful plan to sabotage the venue.

She was handed a one year suspended sentence after changing her plea earlier at the eleventh hour earlier today.

In May of 2023, the woman was thwarted when she was spotted pouring a glass of bleach directly onto a tray containing yogurt, pineapple and watermelon, foods that were ready for consumption by the guests of the hotel.

She was caught red-handed by several customers – including a British couple – at the hotel who immediately raised the alarm.

Their fast action prevented any tourist from ingesting the poisonous food, avoiding a serious risk.

Subsequent tests on the food were later confirmed to have been tainted with bleach by the cops.

But it was not just one instance, just five days earlier investigators found she had deliberately spiked a bottle of milk in the bar with toxic commercial bleach.

It is understood she carried out the sabotage at the dessert area on her last day at the hotel before being laid off.

Following a she was charged with a against public health and was ordered to stand trial.

The woman initially entered a plea of not guilty but took a plea deal bargain with prosecutors today.

She avoided a jail sentence from the Malaga court after officially confessing to wrongdoing.

The prosecution said she acted with the “clear intention of harming the hotel through food poisoning.”

She was charged under article 365 of the Spanish Penal Code which covers the deliberate poisoning of the public water supply and food.

The Provincial Court of Malaga handed her to a one year sentence for trying to poison customers and co-workers.

As she had no prior criminal record and her sentence did not exceed two years, the court agreed to suspend the prison sentence for two years.

Her conditions stipulate that she must not reoffend within the two year period or else she risks being put behind bars.
