A WOMAN has allegedly been sexually assaulted at a popular nature reserve with cops launching a desperate bid to locate witnesses.
The assault is said to have taken place in Crow Field Commons in Moulton, Northamptonshire on Friday evening.
Cops said a man approached a woman as she walked on the common and inappropriately touched her without her consent.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the harrowing incident to come forward.
Their suspect is described as a white man in his mid-30s, about 6ft and of a slim build.
He was wearing a white baseball cap and light-coloured jeans and he has a whippet/greyhound type dog with him.
The park is popular with dog walkers with cops saying they are keen to talk to any witnesses.
Anyone who may have been approached by this man in a similar manner or who has seen someone fitting his description is asked to contact police immediately.
Locals have been urged to check their doorbell, dash cam and CCTV footage to see if they caught the man walking to or from the park.
