COPS have charged an 18-year-old man after a young woman was allegedly raped in an alleyway after being followed into a taxi.
Harvey Flory allegedly attacked the victim, aged in her 20s, in Lowestoft, , in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Suffolk said the woman was raped in an alleyway near Arnold Street at around 12.10am.
She was said to have been targeted after the attacker followed her and a her friend into the same taxi.
The trio then travelled from Blues bar to The Volunteer on London Road North.
Upon arrival, the victim and the alleged attacker got out of the taxi and walked towards Milton Road East.
Police say the man then led the woman into an alleyway near to the junction of Arnold Street, where he sexually assaulted her.
After allegedly raping the woman, he is said to have fled down London Road North, before turning into Gordon Road.
Flory was arrested 12 hours after the alleged attack.
The 18-year-old has since been charged with two counts of rape, and one count of sexual assault by penetration.
He will appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today.
The force said: “Harvey Flory, of Shaw Avenue in Lowestoft, has subsequently been charged with two counts of rape, and one count of sexual assault by penetration.
“He has been remanded in custody to appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday 7 April.
“The victim continues to be assisted by specialist officers.”
