Credit: SWNSTWO more people have been arrested after a three-month-old baby girl died in a tragic dog attack.
A 31-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of child neglect and being a person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control resulting in death.
Cleveland Police said a 36-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of being a person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control resulting in death.
This came after a baby girl was mauled to death by a dog at a house in Redcar, North Yorkshire.
The man and woman have since been released on conditional bail.
Officers were called to a residential property on Thursday at around 1.30pm and shortly after armed officers shot a dog in the street.
Another dog located at the property was put down later.
Both dogs were assessed to not have been prohibited breeds.
Last week, officers arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury resulting in death.
He was later released on conditional bail
