The teen was waiting on a platform at Wandsbek Markt subway station when Ariop A. suddenly threw both her and himself on the tracks, local cops said.

The pair were struck by a train going through the station at around 10:07pm, and both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The attacker was reportedly walking around the platform erratically before the assault according to witnesses and may have been intoxicated, Nonstopnews reported.

One bystander told the outlet the migrant had stumbled towards the victim before telling her: “I’ll take you with me.”

He is said to have then pulled her onto the tracks without warning just seconds later.

There is no suggestion that the Sudanese man and the Iranian teenager were known to each other, investigators say.

Cops said: “According to current information, law enforcement authorities have no evidence of any prior relationship between the individuals involved.”

Police are continuing to probe the exact circumstances of the killing.

The migrant had reportedly been arrested and then released just days before the attack, Bild reported.

He allegedly attacked police officers and was cuffed over aggravated assault.

The attacker also had a history of aggressive and violent offenses, the outlet reported.

Authorities confirmed that the man had previously entered Germany in mid-2024 through a humanitarian reception program.

He reportedly held a valid residence permit and had been living in communal accommodation in Hamburg.

The 18-year-old woman lived at a women’s shelter in the Norderstedt area in Schleswig-Holstein, the European Conservative reported.

She had reportedly fled domestic violence.

Following the deadly attack, the German Red Cross crisis intervention team rushed to the scene to provide psychological support to witnesses.

The two bodies were removed from the station in wooden coffins, with police working at the station throughout the night.

It comes after a similar tragedy in Lower Saxony just months earlier.

Last August, 16-year-old Liana K from Ukraine was waiting for a train in Friedland when rejected asylum seeker Muhammad A, 31, allegedly pushed the teen in front of a freight train.

The suspect was arrested two weeks later over the alleged murder after his DNA was found on the girl’s shoulder.

Prosecutors have said the asylum seeker was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at the time of the deadly attack.
