A WOMAN and her small dog have allegedly been attacked by a Rottweiler as they walked on a popular UK beach.
The horror incident, which occurred in Heacham, , on Sunday, July 12, left the little pooch injured.
say the woman and her Lhasa Apso were approached by a Rottweiler as they walked on the beach at around 3:30pm.
The larger dog is then said to have mauled the small Lhasa Apso in a brutal assault.
Following the attack the little dog was left with a puncture wound near the spine and the woman was knocked over but not injured.
are now probing the incident and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Norfolk Contabulary has released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with their .
The force said: “Anyone who recognises the man or who witnessed the incident is asked to get in touch via the following channels quoting reference 36/51302/26.”
