A woman has unexpectedly passed away in a spa town in the UK, leading to the arrest of a man in relation to her death.
Emergency services declared the woman, who was in her 20s, deceased at a residence in Harrogate.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service received a call to the location on Skipton Road on December 23 regarding reports of the woman's sudden death.
Sadly, she was confirmed dead at the scene.
North Yorkshire authorities confirmed that a man in his 20s was arrested in connection with her death.
However, they later stated that after further inquiries, he was released without any charges.
The circumstances surrounding the woman's death are not being regarded as suspicious.
A spokesperson for the police stated: “At approximately 10:19 AM yesterday, we were alerted by the ambulance service about the sudden death of a woman in her 20s at a property near Skipton Road, Harrogate.
“There has been a police presence at the location while inquiries were conducted.
“After a comprehensive investigation, we can confirm that we are not treating the woman's death as suspicious.
“A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the woman’s death, but he has since been released without any further action after the necessary inquiries were completed.”
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service has been approached for a statement.
