WOLVES struck a big blow to West Midlands rivals Aston Villa at Molineux as they avoided an unwanted Premier League record.
The rock bottom club welcomed just their second win of the league season against Champions League chasers Villa.

The visitors had the best chances of the opening 45 minutes but could not beat Josa Sa in the Wolves’ goal.
And the hosts made them pay just after the hour mark as Joao Gomes crashed an effort into the roof of the Villa net to break the deadlock.
Unai Emery’s side pushed for an equaliser but were denied by Sa on more than one occasion.
Rob Edwards’ side were able to stay strong as they handed a blow to Villa’s Champions League hopes.
They were rewarded for their hard work as Rodrigo Gomes netted in the 98th minute to seal a famous derby win.
Villa will now be hoping Manchester United and Chelsea also slip up over the weekend.
The precious three points may not stop Wolves from going down but they do make sure the club surpasses the 11 points set by Derby County in 2008.
