WOLVES and Arsenal are separated by a staggering 48 POINTS heading into their matchday 27 game at Molineux on Wednesday.

Wolves vs Arsenal preview

It’s a quite remarkable gap between these sides at the bottom and top of the Premier League table.

Had Arsenal not dropped so many points in recent weeks, it could be more than the forty eight that separates the pair after 26 games.

Wolves threatened to kickstart a real great escape at the beginning of 2026, when going five games unbeaten in all competitions, winning two of those.

But one was at home to fellow toilers West Ham and the other against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup. Their only win in the five games since that mini-run came at the weekend when holding on to beat League Two Grimsby 1-0 in the FA Cup.

That form has left them with a pathetic nine points from 26 games, scoring 16 and conceding 48 in the league. That is just one more point than Arsenal have managed on the road in 2026 ALONE!

They’ll have played one more game than Pep Guardiola’s side when completing this fixture but they’re better having the points on the board ahead of a massive few weeks.

A 1-1 draw at Brentford in their previous league outing allowed City to just close the gap once more and what was once a nine-point advantage just a couple of weeks ago, is now down to four heading into this one.

Wolves vs Arsenal predictions

Viktory assured

Arsenal should win this game. And win it well.

Which is reflected in the odds the bookies are offering, so finding value is a little tougher.

One price that stands out around the forwards and the goals and assists market is the 4/1 on offer for Viktor Gyokeres to assist. He doesn’t have many to his name amongst the last few weeks with just two in 2026 but the price is considerably bigger than those around and he should play.

Of course, with bookings in all of the last FIVE games for Wolves, we can’t ignore the 5/2 about Andre picking up another booking!
