Enyimba midfielder Joseph Atule said winning the Best Midfielder award is a big motivation for him ahead of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round against Al-Ahly Benghazi of Libya.
Atule was named the 2022–23 Nigeria Professional Football League’s Best Midfielder of the Season.
Enyimba will host Al-Ahly Benghazi this weekend at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
“It’s a big motivation for me after a successful 2022–23 NPFL season,” he told DAILY POST in Lagos. “I hope to celebrate my award with a goal against Al-Ahly Benghazi in Uyo.”
Al-Ahly Benghazi defeated Enyimba 4-3 during the first leg in Algeria.
