A WIMBLEDON semi-final was halted due to a medical emergency involving a fan.
The worrying scenes unfolded on during the men’s doubles clash as Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic beat Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puertz 7-6 6-2.

At the start of the second set, Pavic tossed the ball up to serve but James Keothavong called for an immediate stoppage by shouting “wait, wait”.
The British official pointed into the stands and said: “Ladies and gentlemen, we are just going to pause play for a moment as a fellow spectator requires medical assistance.”
Medics then rushed to treat the individual as the players watched on concerned.

It is unclear what caused the medical emergency but temperatures at soared to 34 degrees this afternoon.
