However, the show is a rival to ITV’s Big Brother, which Will hosts alongside AJ Odudu.
And with the host set for grueling rehearsal days and potentially three months of live shows, it’s not a small side hustle.
However, a well placed ITV source tells The Sun that Will is set to continue with Big Brother and do both at the same time, with both kicking off in autumn.
They said: “Will will be staying on Big Brother and has no plans to leave.
“He can do both shows at the same time as while Big Brother will be airing in the autumn, like Strictly does, the live evictions are never on a Saturday so there is no clash.
“Will will juggle both jobs which will be a lot but Strictly contestants with another day job do that every year, it’s not uncommon.”
Confirming the news that he’s joining Strictly, Will shared an Instagram video on Tuesday.
He told his followers: “This is surreal. I am unbelievably excited and more than a little terrified to be able to say, I’m doing Strictly this year!
“I’m doing Strictly this year, I can’t believe it. I’m so nervous already but it’s going to be so fun. I love the show and I can’t wait to find out if I can dance. I’ve got no idea! But we can find out together.”
Moving around a little while filming himself, Will then joked: “It’s all in the hips, innit? You’ve just got to move.
“That was bad – what I just did there was bad – I can’t do that. But anyway, thank you for having me, this is going to be amazing.”
He was the sixth celeb to be confirmed, after Lacey Turner, Aussie pop star Delta Goodrem, Kim Kardashian’s hairdresser Chris Appleton and Love Island stars Dani Dyer and Cach Mercer.
