The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has called on contractors handling various projects across the territory to maintain high standards in their work.
Wike made the call on Monday during an inspection of ongoing projects in Abuja ahead of their planned inauguration to mark President Bola Tinubu’s second year in office.
Among the projects inspected was the 16-kilometre Inner Northern Expressway from Idu to Dei Dei, being handled by Salini.
He also visited the construction site of the Jahi Interchange, being executed by Gilmor, which will link Wole Soyinka Way to the Murtala Mohammed Expressway.
The minister expressed satisfaction with the progress and quality of work, commending the contractors for working round the clock to meet deadlines.
“The contractors have assured us that they will meet the deadline. They are working day and night,”;; Wike said.
“I’m confident that within the next two weeks, the projects will reach finishing level. I’m impressed with both contractors, and what matters most is the quality of the work.”;;
