The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, has said Nigeria have what it takes to win the World Cup.
Motsepe stated this during an interview with Channels Television.
The Super Eagles failed to qualify for this year’s World Cup in Qatar, losing out to rivals Ghana in the playoffs in March.
Motsepe has expressed his optimism that the three-time African champions are good enough to become world champions.
“I am absolutely confident [because of] the talent, God-given skills, and history of Nigerian football.
“Nigeria is one of those countries that have the potential. Not just to go to the semi-final or the final, but to win the World Cup,” Motsepe said.
