Shehu Sani, the former lawmaker who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has explained why his name was not included in the recent ambassadorial list submitted to the Senate.

During an interview on Arise Television, which was monitored by DAILY POST on Wednesday, Sani mentioned that he believes he is too young to hold the position of an ambassador.

“My name has never appeared on the list for an ambassadorial role.

“About a month ago, I learned, as a former senator and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs during my tenure, that there are specific procedures for appointment. You must receive a call, submit your CV, undergo security screening, and be vetted. However, my name has never been among those considered.

“I believe I’m too young to be an ambassador. I still have significant contributions to make for my people in Kaduna State,” he stated.
