LUKE LITTLER is set to be booed at the European Championship Darts.
has won nine of ten majors in his short career and this is the only trophy eluding him.
Littler with confidence knocked from defeats in the World Series Finals to Jonny Clayton and a first round exit to Luke Woodhouse at the World Grand Prix.
But the 19-year-old will also have to battle a hostile crowd in Germany.
Why is Luke Littler being booed at the European Championship Darts?
Littler is on the receiving end of boos from the crowd due to an ongoing feud with Germany.
It started in 2025 when Littler teamed up with Luke Humphries for the World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt.
The by home favourites Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko, while being relentlessly taunted by the German supporters mid-game.
Littler admitted he had a “head loss moment” because of the crowd and Humphries revealed his team-mate .
With the Warrington wonderkid’s darts domination continuing, the German fans tried to get under his skin again at the German Darts Grand Prix and at the Premier League event in Berlin last year.
It led to Littler due to his hatred of the booing.
But things only got worse at the World Championship in 2025 during his fiery last-16 win over Rob Cross.
A small section of fans at Alexandra Palace, who were later confirmed to be German, during the game and he by celebrating and gesturing in their direction.
Then in an explosive post-match rant, Littler said: “I’m not bothered. Really not bothered.
“Can I say one thing? You guys pay for tickets and you pay for my prize money. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Come on!”
Littler was recently picked on by Dutch fans at the World Series Finals in Amsterdam and they appear to next in line for a boycott.
The Nuke explained: “If the Dutch stay like this, then I’m not going to do any Euro Tours over there.
“There’s just no point in me travelling, wasting my time whilst I’m getting booed.”
