Arsenal are the league leaders heading into this weekend and will play before the second-placed side.

Aston Villa will aim to maintain their momentum after defeating the Gunners with a last-minute goal.

This will also be the final weekend that stars like Bryan Mbeumo and Iliman Ndiaye will be in action before.

SunSport reveals why there is no Premier League game at 12:30pm this weekend.

Why is there no 12:30pm kick-off today?

There is no 12:30 kick-off in the Premier League today due to Arsenal’s Champions League commitments.

The Gunners played away against Club Brugge on Wednesday night, and the lunchtime slot did not provide enough time for them to meet the Premier League’s mandatory rest window.

This match was selected for TNT Sports coverage and, as a result, was rescheduled to 8pm this evening.

When else has this happened this season?

Liverpool were scheduled to face Aston Villa at lunchtime on Saturday, November 1, but due to their participation in the Carabao Cup the previous Wednesday, the match was rescheduled to a later time.

Additionally, circumstances in the city resulted in the match against Villa being moved to the evening.

Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium hosted the England vs Australia rugby league match earlier on Saturday.

The previously mentioned 3pm blackout rule prevented Liverpool vs Villa from being held at that time, while the Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea 5:30pm match was already designated as the pre-arranged TV game for Sky.

This left 8pm as the only available slot, with Liverpool set to play in the Champions League the following Tuesday, ruling out a Sunday scheduling.
