Who is hosting the World Cup 2030?

For the first time in history, there will be three countries from two different continents that are set to host the World Cup 2030.

These three countries are Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

This is due to it being the 100th anniversary of the first-ever tournament back in 1930.

And to commemorate such a special celebration, there will be matches held OUTSIDE of the host nations.

Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay will host group matches to mark the 100th year anniversary.

When does the World Cup 2030 start?

World Cup 2030 will get underway on Thursday, June 13 and it concludes on

The first match of the competition is scheduled to be played at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, , where the first World Cup was held.

As it stands, there will be 48 teams from six confederations battling it out to lift the prestigious trophy but Chief Executive of FIFA Gianni Infantino confirmed that he is considering expanding the tournament to 64 teams.

Will all host nations gain automatic qualification to the World Cup 2030?

To put it simply, yes.

All three main host nations gain automatic qualification to the World Cup 2030 and so will the 100th-anniversary group match hosts.

This means six nations have already booked their spot – Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.

It was also announced that the tournament will be played in over 20 different venues across 20 different cities.

And this will be the first time that the World Cup is held in Africa since 2010 and the first ever in North Africa.
