But despite being on home turf, Team USA were unable to avenge their loss back in 2023.

Luke Donald’s men were rampant all weekend and secured a 15-13 win to retain the Ryder Cup and claim their first win Stateside since 2012.

In 2027, the Americans will have to overcome their woeful record on enemy soil if they want to reclaim the title after a six-year drought.

The next will present Team USA with another opportunity to end their torrid run, as it will be Europe’s turn to host the event.

When is the Ryder Cup 2027?

The Ryder Cup takes place every two years, meaning the 46th edition of the competition will be held in 2027.

Dates have already been confirmed for the event, with four build-up days scheduled to take place between Monday, September 13 and Thursday, September 16.

The competition will then get underway on Friday, September 17, before concluding on Sunday, September 19.

Where is the Ryder Cup 2027 being held?

Europe will host the 2027 Ryder Cup and the biennial contest will return to Ireland for the first time since the K Club hosted in 2006.

The competition will be played at the stunning Adare Manor in County Limerick.

The venue previously hosted the Irish Open in 2007 and 2008 before undergoing a substantial renovation in 2017.

“For Ryder Cup week, the eyes of the sporting world will be on the beautiful village of Adare and I am confident that the local community and the people of Limerick and Ireland generally will ensure this event is a wonderful success and that all who attend will want to return to visit Ireland again.”

The 2027 Ryder Cup will be the 46th edition of the competition and will mark its 100th anniversary.
