What time does the summer transfer window 2025 close?
The summer transfer window will close four hours earlier than usual.
Prem and EFL bosses, with the agreement of clubs in all four leagues, have come to the decision that all signings or paperwork will have to be lodged by 7pm, rather than the more accustomed 11pm deadline, on September 1.
An additional two hours will be allowed for signings from overseas to complete all the necessary paperwork.
The move from the 11pm closure is viewed as a way of preventing club staff and administrators from having to burn the midnight oil well into the early hours when late-agreed deals are pushed through.
