MAN CITY dropped more points in the title race after a frustrating 1-1 draw against West Ham that boosts the visitors’ survival hopes.

Pep Guardiola – who was in the stands after a suspension – knew his side couldn’t afford to freeze at the London Stadium after Arsenal’s late win against Everton.

And City looked to have started on the right track when Bernardo Silva executed a perfectly-timed chip over keeper Mads Hermansen.

But the Hammers hit back as Jarrod Bowen’s corner was nodded in off the bar by Konstantin Mavropanos – needing goal-line technology to confirm it.

City pushed for a winner as Jeremy Doku sent in a low cross late on that Phil Foden couldn’t make contact with and eventually Guardiola’s men ran out of steam in a costly draw.

West Ham, meanwhile, are out of the relegation for now after their heroics.
