United States Congressman Riley Moore has warned that the US will hold the Nigerian government accountable if anything happens to Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, who is based in Plateau State, due to his campaign against the genocide of Christians.

Moore, who represents West Virginia in the US Congress, issued this warning in a post on his X account after Rev. Dachomo disclosed that he has been receiving threats and warnings from supporters of President Bola Tinubu, urging him to stop sharing videos that document the killings of Christians and mass burials in the region.

In a video message posted on his Facebook page on November 21, 2025, Dachomo stated, “They are threatening and warning me to cease exposing President Bola Tinubu’s government regarding the ongoing killings of Christians by Fulani terrorists.”

He also mentioned that he had received threats and warning phone calls from a senior official in the Tinubu administration after a visit from a presidential advisor, who expressed concerns over his criticisms of the government.

“I questioned, am I exposing my government while they monitor me on social media? What about my safety? The same government is exposing us to Fulani attacks by failing to halt the violence. Their silence puts Christians across Nigeria at risk,” Dachomo expressed.

Less than 24 hours after Rev. Dachomo made these claims, his Facebook account was deleted, and a new Instagram account was also shut down just a day after its creation.

Facebook Meta subsequently denied Rev. Dachomo access to his account for posting videos and messages, citing that his content posed a threat to Nigeria’s national security.

These events and the subsequent threats against the pastor have sparked condemnation from both local and international activists, many of whom have offered legal assistance.

In his remarks, Moore emphasized that Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau, is in danger, affirming that the US would take serious action if Rev. Dachomo were to face any harm.

“I want to draw attention to a recent incident in Plateau State,” Rep. Moore stated.

“We had a pastor there who warned the Nigerian government, saying, ‘We are under imminent threat. We will face an attack. If you don’t send forces here in the next 24 hours, we need help. Please assist us.’

“The Nigerian government not only ignored this but issued a press release dismissing it as fake news, exaggeration, and overreaction. Tragically, 13 people lost their lives the following day.

“How can you trust a government that doesn’t respond when you call for help? How can you rely on your life being in their hands? You cannot.

“The US will hold the Nigerian government accountable if anything happens to the Pastor,” Moore concluded.
