United States President Donald Trump has caused a lot of talk after sending a video message to Cristiano Ronaldo, where he praised him as the greatest of all time.
The video was released after Ronaldo visited Trump’s Oval Office as part of a delegation from Saudi Arabia in November.
Trump put up a video on his TikTok account, calling the Al-Nassr player the best footballer ever and asking him to come to the USA.
After the video, there was an AI-made clip showing Trump and Ronaldo playing a casual game of football in the President’s office.
Trump shared a video on his TikTok account, calling the Al-Nassr player the best footballer ever and asking him to come to the United States.
“Cristiano Ronaldo, you’re the best ever, we need you to come to America,” Trump said. “Start moving right away, we need you quickly,” Donald Trump added.
Trump has been very noticeable in football news recently, as he was at the final match of the FIFA Club World Cup where Chelsea played against Paris Saint-Germain, PSG, last summer.
He received the first FIFA Peace Prize from President Gianni Infantino before the World Cup draw last year.
Trump might be sending a message to Cristiano Ronaldo, encouraging the 41-year-old to start competing again against his longtime rival, Lionel Messi, in the MLS.
In recent weeks, there was talk about this possibility when the Al-Nassr player refused to play, protesting what he saw as poor management of his team by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Ronaldo’s visit to the Oval Office last November was his first time in the United States since he played for Real Madrid in front of 109,318 fans against Manchester United during a pre-season game in 2014.
